Welcome — what this blog is for

We started this blog for one reason: we kept having the same conversations by email, one person at a time, and it felt like a waste of a good answer. So this is where those answers will live. Expect notes on what we are working on, what we changed and why, and the occasional honest write-up of something that did not go to plan. We would rather show the work than polish it. There is no schedule. We post when there is something worth reading, which usually works out to two or three times a month. If there is something you want us to cover, tell us. Most of what follows started as a question from someone reading this page.
